Russia Ukraine Crisis Sensex . Due to the rising tension between Russia and Ukraine, there has been a tremendous fall in the stock markets around the world. The Indian stock market opened with a strong fall due to weak global cues. Due to this reason, now there is a possibility of increase in oil prices as well. As soon as the stock market opened on the second trading day on Tuesday, there was a ruckus. Both the indices saw a sharp decline. The 30-share index Sensex of Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) fell below 57 thousand by 1024 points and opened at 56,659 level, while the Nifty index of National Stock Exchange (NSE) slipped 299 points and came under 17 thousand. Nifty was trading at the level of 16,907 till the time of writing the news.

With the opening of the market, about 254 shares rose, but 1932 shares declined and 48 shares did not change. All 30 stocks of Sensex are trading on the red mark. Dr Reddy’s Labs, L&T, Asian Paints, TCS and UPL were among the top losers on Nifty as soon as the market opened today, while only ONGC was seeing gains. On Monday, where the Sensex slipped 149 points to close at 57,683, while the Nifty also closed at 17,206, down 70 points.
Markets fall from Asia to Europe
The impact of the crisis in Russia-Ukraine is visible in markets from Asia to Europe. The US stock market has also registered a fall. The Dow Feuer fell by 500 points, while Germany’s DAX in Europe fell by 3.7 per cent. The impact of the Russia-Ukraine crisis is visible on crude oil. The price of Brent crude oil has reached close to $ 97 per barrel.
Russia recognizes a separate country for separatist areas in eastern Ukraine
On Monday, Russian President Vladimir Putin recognized the independence of the Russian-backed separatist regions of Donetsk and Luhansk in eastern Ukraine. Since then the tension has been increasing continuously and its effect is visible on the global market. The US announced financial sanctions against rebel areas in eastern Ukraine, which have been re-recognized by Russia.
