India’s ‘leadership approach’ visible
Foreign affairs expert and former senior diplomat SK Shukla says that of course India and Russia have always had very good relations. This is one of the major reasons that even during the war between Russia and Ukraine, Russia has not only offered to evacuate the Indian people trapped in Ukraine from its border but has given full assurance of help. They say that in terms of diplomacy, getting assurances of help in this way between India and Russia and making efforts again shows the strong relationship between the two countries.
Shukla says though this time is very important for a developing country like India. It also needs to maintain its oldest diplomatic relations and in the new environment it also needs to clear its stand in terms of ‘world politics’ of all the countries around the world. Foreign affairs experts say that the balance method adopted in the United Nations Security Council in India reflects a distant ‘leadership approach’ of India.
