Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Narottam Mishra on Monday afternoon had a video conversation with Sakshi Sharma, a student of Raisen Udaipura, living in a hostel bunker in Kharkiv, Ukraine, on mobile. In which the student apprised the Home Minister about the dangerous conditions of Kharkiv and appealed to the state government to return home from there. Home Minister Mishra has told the girl to make arrangements to return home soon and the Prime Minister will continuously monitor the situation there. Six students from Raisen district are stranded in different cities of Ukraine.
For four days, these students have been living in hostels and in metro bunkers. Even peeping outside is not allowed because of the curfew. Due to the power outage and no mobile connectivity due to the bombing, students are unable to talk to their family members on mobile for several hours. Whenever there is a chance, students contact Navduniya and their families on mobile and inform them about the situation there. Mukesh Parikh, a resident of Bareilly, told that his two daughters Shivi and Aansi are third year students of the Medical University in Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine. She stayed in the bunker of the metro station on Friday. Due to lack of food and drink, the hostels have come back. She has been living in the bunker of the hostel since Saturday. To eat food, they come out of the bunker and come upstairs. There is a curfew in Kyiv and bombings are being heard continuously. They are not even allowed to peep outside the hostel. On behalf of the Ukrainian government, it has been said that soon arrangements will be made for their repatriation. Sakshi, daughter of Udaipura resident Brajkishore Sharma, is a fourth year medical student in Kharkiv. Sakshi has appealed to the MP government for help by sending a video to Navdunia. According to Sakshi, she has been living in the bunker of the hostel for three days. The situation in Kharkiv is very bad. Sometimes there is a power outage due to the bombing and sometimes the mobile connectivity is cut off. Sanskar Verma, son of Bareilly resident Vinod Verma, is studying in the first year at Tarnopil National Medical University. Sanskar has sent a picture of Romania border by his partner. In which it is shown that more than five thousand students and citizens are gathered on the Romanian border. The process of their repatriation is going on. Tahir Khan, a resident of Devnagar, told that his son Aamir Khan is a first year medical student in Kyiv University. He could not be contacted on mobile since Saturday night. He had told that the hostel management has not given any information regarding the return of any student from Kyiv. Madhavi Rakwar, daughter of Dr. Madhavlal, resident of Bari, is a first year medical student in Dnepro Medical College. Dr. Lal told that his daughter is safe in the hostel. The hostel has not yet given any information regarding the return home.
