Kyiv. Russia’s military on Friday fired Iskander ballistic missiles at a railway station in Ukraine’s Kramatorsk, killing dozens and injuring more than a hundred.
Ukrainska Pravda reported in one of its reports that the head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, Pavlo Kyrilenko, said, “Russian fascists attacked the railway station in Kramatorsk with Iskander cluster weapons. Police and rescue teams working at the scene found dozens of dead.” And the injured have been reported.”
Kyrilenko said thousands of people were at the train station at the time of the missile attack, as residents of Donbass were being evacuated to safer areas of Ukraine.
He stressed that the Russian military “knew very well where they were targeting and what they wanted: they wanted to sow the seeds of panic and fear, they wanted to take as many civilians as possible.”
Earlier, Kyrilenko reported that the bus evacuation from Vuhleder on Thursday was carried out amid continued Russian shelling and that a cruise missile attack near Slovakia temporarily blocked the departure of three evacuation trains.
The report said that movement was restored around midnight.
