All three brothers and sisters of Kamla Nagar are doing medical studies
Thousands of students of the country are trapped there due to the war between Ukraine and Russia. Among them are three children of Pradeep Kumar, resident of Kamala Nagar in Rohtak. They have two daughters and a son. These three brothers and sisters went there to study medicine. Trying to come home when the situation in Kyiv worsens.
Jatin and others, a student of MBBS, arrived in the camp of Romania from Ukraine.
For this, the three together with friends have hired a bus. All the 26 students together have been given a fare of Rs 4500 to the bus driver. Instead, he would transport them from Kyiv to the Hungarian border. Pradeep Kumar told that in a conversation with the children on the phone, he said that there was a problem even to leave from Kyiv to Hungary.
Hoping to get a flight back home in Hungary after coming out of the war zone. That’s why everyone has left from there amidst the bombing with enthusiasm. With the move away from Kyiv, the threat of war will no longer exist.
Two brothers left in train from Kharki
Paramjit Hans of Singhpura said that my two brothers have gone to Kharki to study medicine. There the situation is very bad because of the war. That’s why we left the train on Tuesday only. Going to the neighboring country will catch a flight from there to his home. On the phone, the brothers told that hundreds of students are trapped in Kharki. There is no way to remove them.
There is no food nor transport facility. People have entered the bunkers to save their lives. There is constant bombing outside. An Indian student has also died here. That’s why people are afraid to come out. Despite hunger, people are not leaving the bunker. Internet facility is also weak here. Talking on the phone is also getting less. So we got off the train.
Students are stranded in Romania for two days
Jatin, who lives in Shiv Colony of the city, had gone to Vinitsa to study MBBS. Due to the war here, somehow Romania reached two days ago. Now stuck here. The flight was expected on Tuesday. It was also canceled due to bad weather in Ukraine. Now the flight is expected on Wednesday only.
The student says that he reached here by renting a bus with his friends. The bus driver also charged more fare. Not only this, after reaching the border, he stood here for a day. We were not allowed to cross the border. There was a big problem of food and water. Long waits were made to enter Romania. There was some relief upon arrival in Romania.
Here food and water were also found along with a place to rest in the shelter. The embassy also provided a mobile sim to talk at home. Three buses reached here. One of them had 53 and two had 70-70 students. They all want to go home. This facility is not available. The government should arrange flights.
