New Delhi. Shiv Sena leader and MP Sanjay Raut has targeted BJP on the issue of Hindutva. He said that the Hindutva of the BJP comes to the fore only during elections. Sanjay Raut said that Shiv Sena founder Balasaheb Thackeray had ensured that Hindus cast their votes in the name of religion. Shiv Sena’s commitment to Hindutva is not limited to politics or elections. The aim of Shiv Sena is to ensure food, clothing and shelter to the people. The Hindutva of the BJP is such that when Babri was being demolished in Ayodhya, the supporters of the Hindutva vote bank ran away.
On the other hand Shiv Sainik and Balasaheb Thackeray stood on the side of Hindus and they were proud of Shiv Sainik who broke Babri. Please tell that Sanjay Raut has made this comment in a program. In fact, Raut has reacted to the claim of Maharashtra BJP chief Chandrakant Patil, in which he had described Chhatrapati Shivaji as the first person to create a Hindu vote bank.
Sanjay Raut said that I do not know that Chhatrapati Shivaji created the first Hindu vote bank, but I know that he established the first Hindavi Swaraj in the country. The Shiv Sena leader further said that the teachings of Chhatrapati Shivaji were nurtured by Balasaheb Thackeray and earlier by Veer Savarkar in Maharashtra and across the country.
Shiv Sena MPs were suspended
During this, Sanjay Raut referred to the Babri demolition in Ayodhya and the Maharashtra Assembly by-elections. He said that Balasaheb had demonstrated for the first time that a Hindu vote bank existed in the country and ensured that one casts his vote in the name of Hinduism. He was suspended from the assembly following a claim made by Shiv Sena MLAs. The MLAs had said that they had won the election on the issue of Hindutva.

When all this was happening, there was no name of BJP anywhere. Sanjay Raut said that I do not even remember that any such action has been taken against any BJP leader. Balasaheb taught us not to be afraid, we stood strong then and still are today. Whereas BJP’s Hindutva is confined to elections and temples.
