Narayanpur. Saur Sujala Yojana is bringing a change in the lives of the people living in the tribal areas. Irrigation facility is being made available in unreached and un-electrified areas through Saur Sujala Yojana. The farmers’ fields began to wave. Due to this, sufficient water is being made available to the farmers on time to irrigate the crops.
The production of farmers is increasing and their income is also increasing. Through this scheme, a total of 2623 irrigation solar pumps have been installed in Narayanpur district in the financial year from 2016-17 to 2020-21 under Saur Sujala Yojana and a target of 600 irrigation solar pumps has been achieved for the year 2021-22. Out of which solar pump installation work has been completed in the fields of 202 beneficiaries. With the installation of the above irrigation solar pumps, farmers of rural areas are getting convenience in taking double crop (vegetables etc.).
At the same time, the income of the farmers is increasing continuously. Before the installation of solar pumps, farmers were able to take only Kharif crops. Now after the installation of the pump, two to three crops are being taken easily in a year. The farmers have been greatly benefited by this scheme and the villagers of majority villages in the scheduled areas are getting economic benefits. This is giving a boost to agriculture and rural development. Now farmers do not have to worry about irrigation.

Krishak Mela organized in Dhurguda
Jagdalpur. In Gram Panchayat Dhurguda, MLA Rekhchand Jain inaugurated the farmers fair and provided pipe and vermi manure for irrigation to 340 farmers of Dhurguda, Bhataguda, Kalcha, Kumhrawand villages. He said that today Chhattisgarh model is being discussed all over the country because of the steps taken by our government for the welfare of farmers. During this, Sarpanch Gram Panchayat Dhurguda Durga Udde, senior leaders Hemant Devangan, Dayaram Kashyap, Ishwar, Nadi, Mangli and Radhika, senior agricultural extension officers Ajay Miri and Manish Srivastava, along with officers of rural and agriculture departments were present.
