Sukma. Villagers have submitted a memorandum to Collector Vineet Nandanwar in protest against the arbitrariness and irregularity of the salesman of the government ration shop in Pakela.
On Thursday, hundreds of villagers reached the collectorate. Villagers told that the ration shop is not opened on time by the salesman of the shop, Mithless Nag. Many times it threatens to close the shop on the matter of complaining to the higher officials. Villagers submitted a memorandum to the collector and demanded opening of new ration shops, during which CPI Block Secretaries Gangaram Nag, Bhimaram Nag, Somaru, Laxman Ram, Hirma Kashyap, Ganga Kashyap were present along with the villagers.
Villagers told that the villagers come from a distance of about 7.8 km to get ration in Pakela Gram Panchayat, there are about 445 ration card holders in the Panchayat, the present ration shop is located on NH 30, Pakela’s villages Pedapara, Butaras, Mangitong, Sindopara and Totapara. The villagers are dependent, where they reach the ration shop after traveling a long distance, the villagers are facing a lot of problems due to not opening the ration shop on time, even after complaining there has been no improvement in the salesman’s behavior, so separately Villagers will be benefited when the ration shop opens.
The salesman also burped the extra rice
Villagers told that in October 2020, the additional rice released by the government has also been dumped by the salesman. In this regard also the officials were made aware and it was found correct in the investigation as well. Despite that, no action was taken against the salesman. Due to the protection given by the responsible officers, the spirits of the salesmen are high. It is worth noting that recently the Pordem Sarpanch of the district has been removed by the administration in the case of irregularities in distribution of ration. Upsarpanch has been made caretaker sarpanch for 6 months. At the same time, no action has been taken so far in Pakela regarding the complaint of additional ration disturbances in 2020, which remains a matter of church.
