SBI customers will get such cover
According to the information received, the amount of insurance in this scheme will be determined by SBI according to the period of opening of the Jan Dhan account of the customers. Such customers, whose account opened under Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY) has been opened till August 28, 2018, will get the sum insured of up to Rs.1 lakh on the RuPay PMJDY card issued to them, on the other hand after August 28, 2018. Accident cover up to Rs 2 lakh will be available on the issued RuPay card.
Jan Dhan account is opened on zero balance
Significantly, Jan Dhan Yojana is an ambitious scheme of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and under this scheme the account of the poor of the country is opened on zero balance in banks, post offices and nationalized banks. Under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY), many types of facilities are provided to the customers. Any person can open Jan Dhan account by submitting KYC documents online or visiting the bank. You can also convert your savings bank account into Jan Dhan account.
Such customers of SBI will get benefit
Such Jan Dhan account holders of SBI will get the benefit of accidental death insurance under RuPay Debit Card when the insured has done any successful financial or non-financial transaction on any channel, both intra or inter bank within 90 days from the date of accident. have done In such circumstances only the amount will be paid.
These necessary documents have to be submitted
– Insurance claim form.
A copy of the death certificate.
Aadhar copy of cardholder and nominee.
Copy of postmortem report with chemical analysis or FSL report if death is due to any other reason.
Original or attested copy of FIR or police report giving details of accident.
Declaration form duly signed by the authorized signatory and bank stamp on behalf of the card issuing bank.
Contact details along with name and email id of the bank officer should be given.
