25 year old Pathum Nissanka scored 210 runs in 139 balls. Pathum hit 20 fours and 8 sixes in his innings. Apart from Pathum Nissanka, Avishka Fernando also played an excellent inning of 88 runs for Sri Lanka in this match. Both these openers of Sri Lanka made a partnership of 182 runs.
Afghanistan had a dreadful start to chase the target of 382 runs. He lost his 4 wickets till 27 runs were scored. The score was still 55 runs when Afghanistan’s fifth batsman also walked out.
