According to media reports, Pakistan Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa has also told Imran the date of resignation. Bajwa has said that he should step down after the OIC conference. According to Pakistani media reports, Bajwa and three other senior lieutenant generals together have decided to remove Imran Khan from the chair.

Bajwa had sent his transfer letter to Imran Khan for signing but Imran Khan delayed it as Faiz is his old friend. Bajwa got enraged on this matter and even threatened to face the consequences.
