Anuppur (Naiduniya Representative). The holy city of the district, Amarkantak, where the Narmada river originates, has become dirty at its point of origin. Now the Pollution Control Board is installing sensors to know the scale of pollution to keep Narmada clean, through this the status of pollution can be known immediately. Display boards will be installed for this at Narmada Ghat. Pollution status will be shown. The said sensor will float in the water and every second the changing state of the water will be displayed directly on the display board through the sensor. Through this sensor, this information will be clearly received that information about biochemical oxygen demand, dissolved oxygen, chemical oxygen demand, total dissolved solids, chloride, pH, air quality will be available in water. Real time water quality monitoring system will be installed at two places in Amarkantak, the site is yet to be selected. Under the scheme, 51 points will be selected from Amarkantak to Alirajpur. This equipment will be installed with the help of Madhya Pradesh Pollution Control Board and Central Pollution Control Board at a cost of about Rs 2 crore. There is a plan to install these devices for 31 months. Two sensor stations will be installed in Ramghat Sarovar area in Amarkantak. In the month of January, a team of State Pollution Control Department has also come to Amarkantak and surveyed by the team from the temple to the area of Ramghat station. The installation site has also been observed. Ramghat area is about 1 kilometer from the Amarkantak Narmada temple and in between it is also proposed to set up a sensor station. As soon as the water of the river will be polluted through the said equipment, this information will be given by the Pollution Control Board. Will reach Bhopal Control Room.
A sensor station is to be set up in Amarkantak to check the quality of Narmada water. Members of the Pollution Control Department from the state have come to Amarkantak and have already done a survey.
