Chandigarh. Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann has been bent on looting the state’s treasury since taking over the government. Earlier, he paid a bill of more than Rs 45 lakh from the exchequer for a helicopter to take his Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) convener and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal on an election campaign tour to Gujarat. Now Bhagwant Mann has made 57 AC buses ready to bring them along with booking a resort for the meeting of people associated with school education. All these expenses will also be given from the treasury of Punjab.
The English newspaper ‘The Indian Express’ has given this news quoting official documents. According to the newspaper, Bhagwant Mann will hold a meeting with the heads of government schools and district education officers tomorrow on May 10. 2600 people have been called from Punjab in this meeting. These include District Education Officer, Deputy District Education Officer, Principal of Government School, Headmaster and Block Primary Education Officer. This meeting has been kept at the famous and expensive Kingsville Resort located on the Ludhiana-Firozpur Road. The newspaper quoted a government official as saying that due to lack of arrangement to accommodate 2600 people in one place in Ludhiana, this had to be done. Whereas, there is also a stadium on Pakhowal Road, but its condition is bad.
According to the newspaper, the Education Department has written to the Transport Commissioner of Punjab to arrange 57 AC buses. Officers have to be brought in these buses from every district. Amritsar, Patiala, Gurdaspur, Hoshiarpur and Jalandhar districts will be given maximum 4-4 buses. The Education Department has written that as soon as the bill for the fare of buses is received, they will be passed immediately.
