Bhopal . Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has created new history. He has become such a chief ministerial leader of BJP who has been in this post for 15 years and 11 days as Chief Minister. He has broken the record of Dr. Raman Singh of Chhattisgarh, who remained in this post for 15 years and 10 days as Chief Minister.
Chouhan took over as the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh on 29 November 2005 for the first time. He continued in this post till 12 December 2018. In the year 2018, Congress forced Chouhan to leave the chair by taking lead. After that there was a ruckus in the Congress, 22 MLAs resigned together, then the Kamal Nath-led government fell and then Chauhan became the Chief Minister on 23 March 2020. Now he has gone beyond 15 years and 10 days, breaking the record of Dr. Raman Singh, who was the Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi was Chief Minister of Gujarat for about 12 years, Vasundhara Raje Scindia in Rajasthan and Prem Kumar Dhumal in Himachal for 10 years.
If we look at the leaders currently holding the post of Chief Minister of the country, Shivraj Singh Chouhan’s name comes in fourth place after Naveen Patnaik of Orissa, Nitish Kumar of Bihar and K N Rio of Nagaland.
Chief Minister Chouhan is on the Chief Minister’s post for the fourth time in a row. Before that he had also been an MP.
