Skoda Slavia Launched : Czech automaker Skoda India today launched the 1.5L model of the Slavia in India with the manual version priced at Rs 16.19 lakh, while the 1.5L TSI (AMT) version is priced at Rs 17.79 lakh (ex-showroom, Rs. India) has been fixed. Let us tell you, the company launched the 1.0 TSI model of this car last week, whose price has been fixed at Rs 10.69 lakh.

Buyers looking to bring the Slavia home can book the car online or at an authorized Skoda dealership. The deliveries of the new Skoda Slavia 1.5L TSI will start later this month. It is worth noting here that the 1.5 TSI MT model of the Slavia is about 2.20 lakhs more expensive than the 1.0 TSI. That is, for more powerful Slavia, you will have to spend about Rs 2 lakh more.
Slavia’s new engine is more powerful
The new model from the Slavia is equipped with the more powerful 1.5-litre 4-cylinder, TSI turbo petrol engine, which also powers the Kushaq. This engine generates 150bhp power and 250Nm torque. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed DCT (dual-clutch transmission) automatic.
The new Skoda Slavia will compete with the segment’s best selling car Honda City, Hyundai Verna and Maruti Suzuki Ciaz in the Indian market. At the same time, Volkswagen will also soon launch the new Vertus mid-size sedan in this segment, which is set to make its global debut on 8 March 2022.

In terms of styling, the new Slavia 1.5 TSI looks exactly the same as the 1.0 TSI model. The new Skoda sedan has been included in all the features that are available in the 1.0 liter model. As for the features, it is equipped with a free-standing 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support.

Other features include digital instrument console, automatic AC, connected car tech, ventilated front seats, leatherette upholstery, electric sunroof and a wireless charger. In terms of safety, the sedan gets six airbags, electronic stability control (ESC), electronic differential system (EDS) and a tire pressure monitoring system.
