On Friday, the last trading day of the week, the Indian stock market opened on the red mark and finally closed with gains after a day’s trading. The Bombay Stock Exchange’s 30-share Sensex closed 86 points higher at 55,550, while the National Stock Exchange’s Nifty index gained 35 points to close at 16,630.Advertisement
Earlier today the market had a slow start and the BSE Sensex opened by breaking 300 points, while the Nifty index started trading below 16,500. On the other hand, if we talk about the last trading session, there was a wave in the stock market throughout the day between the declaration of election results in five states. At the end of trading, the BSE Sensex closed at 55,464 with a jump of 817 points. On the other hand, Nifty closed at 16,595 with a gain of 249 points.
