In a village of Dewas district in Madhya Pradesh, a case of harassing a woman after giving birth to a daughter has come to light. According to the information, the 22-year-old woman was allegedly tied up by her in-laws and stained with a hot bar. Due to this, there were wounds in his hands and feet.
When the maternal relatives came to see, then the matter was open.
In this case, a case has been registered against five people including the husband, mother-in-law and father-in-law of this woman. Barotha station in-charge Shailendra Mukati told on Monday that this incident happened on March 16 in Nariyakheda village of Barotha police station area, about 22 km from Dewas district headquarters. He said that the matter came to light when the parents of the victim came to meet their daughter in her village.
When Devrani had a son, she started harassing her.
Mukati told that Lakshmi of Tillore of Khudel area in Indore district was married three years ago with Bablu Jhala of Nariyakheda in Dewas. A year later she gave birth to a daughter. According to the station in-charge, since Lakshmi’s godmother had given birth to a son, the family members started harassing Lakshmi. According to the police, husband Bablu and in-laws used to taunt the daughter-in-law all the time. The situation gradually escalated to a fight. Muktati said that on March 16, Laxmi’s husband Bablu, her father-in-law Bheru Jhala, mother-in-law Manju Jhala, brother-in-law Ankit Jhala and Devrani Kajal Jhala crossed the limits of torture. They tied him up and stained him with a hot rod.
All the accused absconded
The police officer said that as soon as Lakshmi’s condition deteriorated, her maternal relatives reached her in-laws’ house. When he saw her, his senses were blown away. According to the station in-charge, the family members complained to the police and then in the Barotha police station, Lakshmi told the police the story of the atrocities that happened to her. He said that on the complaint of the victim, police registered a case against her husband, father-in-law, mother-in-law, brother-in-law and brother-in-law under relevant sections of IPC and medical examination of Lakshmi was done. Mukati said that Lakshmi is being treated at present, while the five accused have absconded, efforts are being made to arrest them.
