New Delhi. Mumbai Indians, who were almost out of the race for the playoffs in the Indian Premier League, registered a strong win against Sunrisers Hyderabad on Monday. After losing the toss, Hyderabad team came to bat and finally scored 173 runs for 8 wickets, thanks to the fast innings of captain Pat Cummins. On the strength of Suryakumar Yadav’s stormy century, Mumbai easily achieved the target of victory at the loss of 3 wickets in 17.2 overs.
Mumbai Indians captain Hardik Pandya won the toss and chose to bowl first against Sunrisers Hyderabad team. The Mumbai bowlers did not give the team, which started fast, a chance to score runs. Abhishek Sharma lost his wicket after scoring just 11 runs while Travis Head played an inning of 48 runs in 30 balls. Coming in the end, captain Pat Cummins played an inning of 35 runs on 17 balls and took the team to a respectable score of 173 runs.
