New Delhi. After the Asia Cup, in the T20 World Cup 2022, India’s team will once again be seen doing two hands on the field with their arch-rivals Pakistan. Earlier on Monday, 12 August, the Indian Cricket Board (BCCI) has also announced Team India for the T20 World Cup. The Indian team has to play its first match with the Pakistan team in the upcoming T20 World Cup on 23 October. From this match, the team will start its mission T20 World Cup. The Indian team group includes teams from Pakistan, South Africa, and Bangladesh. Apart from this, the Indian team will compete with other teams in the qualifier round. Accordingly, Team India will have to play a total of five matches in their group.
Like Asia Cup, Indo-Pak team will be face to face in T20 World Cup too
The format of the T20 World Cup to be held this year will also remain the same as the T20 World Cup held in UAE in 2021 last year. That is, all the group stage teams will have to play 5-5 matches. Only then will the top 2 teams from each group qualify for the semi-finals. If we talk about the five league matches of the Indian team, then their first match will be with Pakistan on 23 October. After this, on October 27, Team India’s rival team will be decided after the qualifier round.
