Eight days before today, i.e. on April 9, a tourist guide from Dehradun was murdered in Kashmir. Ranjit Singh was killed in Padpawan area of Shopian district. He had come to Kashmir with foreign tourists. He was having dinner at a local restaurant at the time of the incident. Then terrorists with their faces covered entered inside and opened fire on them.
In October last year too, terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir had targeted migrant laborers in Kashmir. Then Mukesh Kumar, a resident of Uttar Pradesh (UP), was shot dead by terrorists in Pulwama. Police found the body of a migrant in Naupora area of Pulwama district of South Kashmir. The latest case also becomes important because voting is to be held in Anantnag on 19th April. There is tight security in the entire district at present. Even in such a situation, the terrorists were successful in carrying out this major crime.
