Team India registered its second consecutive win
Due to the brilliant performance of left-arm spinners Radha Yadav and D Hemlatha, the Indian women’s cricket team defeated Bangladesh by 19 runs on the basis of Duckworth-Lewis rule in the second T20 match. With the help of Radha’s three wickets, India bundled out the host team, which chose to bat first, for 119 runs. Radha took three wickets for 19 runs while Deepti Sharma and Shreyanka Patil got two wickets each. For Bangladesh, opener Murshida Khatun scored the highest 46 runs.
The match was decided by Duckworth-Lewis rule
In response to the target of 120 runs, India lost the wicket of Shefali Verma (0) early. After this, Hemlata scored 41 runs in 24 balls and India had scored 47 runs for one wicket in 5.2 overs when it started raining again. Hemlata hit five fours and two sixes in her unbeaten innings. At that time India was ahead by 19 runs using the Duckworth-Lewis system and when further play was not played due to rain, India was declared the winner. India is now ahead by 2.0 in the five-match series.
