IMD said in a statement that heat wave conditions are likely to occur in isolated parts of North Interior Karnataka during March 27-29, Saurashtra and Kutch in Gujarat on March 27-28 and South-West Rajasthan on March 27. Temperature will increase even at night
It also said that during March 27-29, the night weather is likely to be warm (above normal minimum temperatures) in different parts of Gujarat, Marathwada and Central Maharashtra. Hot and humid weather is predicted in Konkan and Goa on March 27-28 and in Rayalaseema, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Kerala and Mahe during March 27-31. The IMD had earlier predicted that India will experience more heat and more heatwave days this year as El Nino conditions are likely to persist till at least May.
