Gopalganj. Gopalganj Police has achieved great success in Bihar. Police have arrested three car-riding cyber criminals from Balthari check post in UP-Bihar. 8774 SIM cards of various companies and Nepali currency have been seized from them. All of them were going to Kathmandu, Nepal via Sonauli border with SIM cards from Delhi.
Gopalganj SP Swarn Prabhat said that the police was conducting vehicle checking campaign at Balthari check post regarding the Lok Sabha elections. During the investigation, a car with West Bengal number was stopped and searched and 8774 SIM cards of different mobile companies were found in it, along with 18800 Nepali currency was seized. The police arrested the three youths, seized the car and started interrogation.
Arrested youth identified
The arrested youth have been identified as Mohammad Asmaul Sheikh, 24, son of Belal Sheikh, resident of Sujapur, Kalia Chowk police station area of Malda district of West Bengal, Mohammad Iqbal Hussain, 34, son of Riyajul Sheikh, resident of Bromotor and Noor Alam, 39, son of Baset, resident of Mosimpur. There were preparations to take it from Delhi to Nepal
SP Swarn Prabhat told that everyone was preparing to buy SIM card from Delhi and take it to Nepal. Some SIM cards are activated and some are not. Transactions worth lakhs of rupees have been revealed in the mobile phone found by the police. The police is busy taking action to arrest international cyber criminals associated with this gang.
