Mangaluru. Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a huge road show in Mangaluru, Karnataka on Sunday. He greeted everyone by shaking hands. The people standing on both sides of the road looked full of enthusiasm. Standing on a specially prepared vehicle, Modi greeted people standing on the roadside and nearby buildings. During this, people raised slogans of ‘Modi, Modi’ and ‘Bharat Mata ki Jai’.
During PM Modi’s road show, a festive atmosphere was seen at many places. People were also seen dancing to the beat of the drum. When the PM’s convoy passed from Narayana Guru intersection towards Nav Bharat intersection in Mangaluru city of Dakshina Kannada district, a BJP stronghold, people showered flowers.

PM Modi reached Mangaluru International Airport at around 7.15 pm on Sunday evening amid heavy security from where he directly left for Brahmarshi Narayan Guru Chowk, the starting point of the road show. Wearing a saffron cap and holding the lotus symbol in his hands, the Prime Minister was accompanied by BJP candidate from Dakshina Kannada Lok Sabha seat Captain Brijesh Chowta and party candidate from Udupi-Chikkamagaluru seat, Kota Srinivas Pujari.
Wearing a saffron cap and carrying a lotus symbol, the Prime Minister was also accompanied in the vehicle by Dakshina Kannada BJP’s Lok Sabha candidate Captain Brijesh Chowta and the party’s candidate from the neighboring Udupi-Chikmagalur seat, Kota Srinivas Pujari. The road show, which began with Modi laying wreath and floral tributes at the statue of social reformer Narayan Guru, covered a distance of about two kilometers in a time span of about an hour.
Extensive arrangements, including setting up barricades, were made to ensure the smooth conduct of the operation. Tight security arrangements were made. The entire distance was colored saffron as BJP flags were visible on both sides of the road and thousands of party workers and supporters were also wearing saffron shawls and caps.
Cultural teams were also deployed at various places on the route to welcome the Prime Minister. Many people were seen wearing masks on Modi’s face. Voting is being held in two phases in Karnataka. While 14 Lok Sabha constituencies in the southern parts of the state will go to polls on April 26, the second phase of voting for the northern districts will be held on May 7.
