The Good Maharaja: An amazing historical moment happened for India and Poland. When the Maharaja of Jamnagar sheltered 1000 Polish children rescued from Russia during World War II in Balachadi, Gujarat. Those children used to affectionately call Maharaja Saheb Bapu. These were words spoken with love, whose echo crossed the gap of time and brought the two countries closer at that time. When even the strongest coalitions of many countries were considered to be completely broken.
Filmmaker Vikash Verma is in the news for his mega-budget Indo-Polish film ‘No Means No’. He has started principal photography of his next project ‘The Good Maharaja’.
