In Roha in Raigad district near Mumbai, a 25-year-old servant killed a scrap dealer for repeatedly insulting him while on the job. The Roha police recently solved the mystery of the incident two years ago by arresting a servant. The accused killed the owner by pelting a stone on his head and then dumped his body in the valley. Police said the 36-year-old businessman was killed by the employee for misbehaving with him.
Roha police said the body of 36-year-old Amit Singh, who ran a scrap business here on January 3, was found in a nearby area two years ago. After the incident, Vikas Chavan, a 25-year-old servant who was with the businessman, went missing and the police suspected him. Even after lakhs of efforts, development was not happening. However, after two years, on the basis of secret information, the police laid a trap and caught Vikas.
During police interrogation of Vikas Chavan, it was revealed that the owner always insulted him. Whenever he asked for salary, he used to abuse in front of everyone. This would make him very angry, but he is unable to speak anything in front of Seth.
On January 7, 2020, Amit Singh was going from Roha to Nagothane on Bhise Khindi road along with Vikas Chavan on a two-wheeler, when Amit Singh had a short walk on the road. Due to which he put the car on the side.
Seeing the chance to avenge the humiliation at a secluded place, Vikas killed Seth by pelting a stone on his head. To destroy the evidence, accused Vikas threw the owner’s body in a narrow valley and fled from there.
Senior Inspector of Roha police station Sanjay Patil told the media that, on a tip-off, information was received that Vikas Roha has returned. Police laid a trap and took him into custody. At first he did not say anything during interrogation, but later he confessed that he killed the owner and threw his body in the valley in anger as the owner Amit Singh was continuously insulting him.
