New Delhi. Many big scores have been seen so far in the Indian Premier League 2024. Sunrisers Hyderabad made the highest score in the history of the tournament against Mumbai Indians. Kolkata Knight Riders made the record of second highest score while playing against Delhi Capitals. In all these matches, the team batted first and scored big, but the Punjab team batted later and created a new record by winning by chasing 200 runs.
The Punjab Kings team did something against Gujarat Titans which no other team had been able to do till now in this season. Batting first in the 17th match of IPL, Gujarat team scored 199 runs on the basis of captain Shubman Gill’s inning of 89 runs. In this, Sai Sudarshan’s 33 runs and Rahul Tewatia’s 23 runs in the end were important. After setting a target of 200, the team was confident of victory because they had succeeded in dismissing the big batsmen in the beginning itself.

Punjab Kings team had lost its 6 wickets at the score of 150 runs. All the big batsmen from the team had returned. From here the team’s defeat seemed certain but one innings changed the entire atmosphere. The innings of just 17 balls created such an uproar due to which Gujarat lost the match it had won.
Match changed in 17 balls
Shashank Singh managed the team till the end and played a strong inning of 61 runs, but Ashutosh Sharma’s short 17-ball innings looked heavy on him. Shashank may have finished the match and remained strong till the end, but after hitting 3 fours and 1 six. Ashutosh’s innings of 31 runs in the last innings made the comeback of Punjab Kings. It was only because of this one innings that the match reached the last over. The sixth wicket had fallen at 150 runs and when Ashutosh was out, the score was 193 runs for 7 wickets.
