The Additional Sessions Court set aside the decision of the lower court (First Class Court) on the appeal presented by Alot Mandal President Vikramsinh Anjana resident of village Dudhavati in the matter of obstructing the government work by attacking the station in-charge. and punished with fine of ten thousand rupees. The judgment was pronounced by Additional Sessions Judge DR Kumre.
According to the prosecution, on November 13, 2010, the Congress had organized a general meeting and demonstration on various demands. The then station in-charge Harisih Parmar had filed a report that he had gone to the Congress program for law and order. While burning the effigy, inflammable material was negligently put on the effigy. Five-six persons were burnt by this. They were taking the scorched people to the hospital by vehicle. Then 15 to 20 people came from the side of RSS. Vikram Singh was also there. After some time, Vikram Singh and others did not allow him to do government work and attacked him with wood. He had defended. By raising slogans against the police, Vikram Singh and his associates ransacked the tents set up by the Congress. A case was registered against Vikram Singh, Ishwalal, Dashrath, Harish and Rajesh. The trial court, while giving its verdict on 24 July 2017, punished Vikram Singh with imprisonment of six months and a fine of five hundred rupees under section 353 of IPC. He was also acquitted under sections 427 and 147. Other accused were acquitted in all the sections. Vikram Singh appealed in the Sessions Court against the decision of the lower court. The Sessions Court partially accepted the appeal and gave its verdict on Monday after hearing. By setting aside the decision of the lower court, the sentence was reduced and the fine was increased.
