Mumbai Indians IPL : Mumbai Indians, captained by Hardik Pandya, have registered their first win in this year’s IPL after three consecutive defeats. The team has opened its account and has reached eighth position in the points table. Although the door to the playoffs is still open for all the ten teams, the path has definitely become difficult for the teams which are running at the bottom. Meanwhile, now the real test will be for Mumbai Indians and its captain Hardik Pandya, when they will have to face two big teams.
Mumbai had suffered a crushing defeat in the first three matches.
Mumbai had lost by 6 runs at the hands of Gujarat Titans in the very first match of this year’s IPL. After this, Sunrisers Hyderabad also defeated Mumbai by 31 runs. Till now they were playing at the home of the opposing team, but even after coming home the losing streak did not stop. The team was defeated by Rajasthan Royals by 6 wickets in Mumbai.
Recorded its first victory by defeating Delhi
After three consecutive defeats, the team was being heavily criticized and captain Hardik Pandya also came under attack. But he got the taste of his first victory in the fourth match. Mumbai managed to defeat Delhi by 29 runs at home. Now after a short break, the Mumbai team is preparing to enter the field again. Now it is going to compete with RCB and CSK. Which is considered to be the biggest match of IPL.
Mumbai will now compete with RCB and CSK
Mumbai team will face RCB on 11th April i.e. Thursday, while on 14th April the team will be seen clashing with CSK. RCB and CSK have also lost some of their matches, so they will also be looking for a win. In such a situation, both these matches are definitely not going to be easy for Mumbai. However, the good thing is that Mumbai will play both these matches at its home i.e. Wankhede Stadium. But it also has to be kept in mind that the advantage that the home teams were getting in the beginning is no longer there. Teams are losing at home also. In such a situation, while there will be a chance for RCB and CSK, the Mumbai team needs to be careful.
