Troubled system, no fixed time for distribution of drinking water
Shamgarh (Naiduniya News). Drinking water distribution system has been disturbed in the city for a long time. In most wards of the city, water is being distributed from taps in three to four days. There is no fixed time for running the tap. Despite complaints no attention is being paid. After three-four days in Ward 9 adjoining the main road, only ten minutes of taps ran on Monday. There was an argument with the city council health inspector Dharmendra Upadhyay between prominent businessman Ram Gopal Ved and the residents of the ward regarding drinking water. After this, Ved also complained on the CM helpline.
Businessmen Ved, Omprakash Gupta, Ramdayal Sisodia, Madanlal Mandaliya said that despite the Chambal Jal Awadhana Yojana worth crores of rupees, people are getting drinking water at irregular times in three-three-four days. Sometimes in the afternoon, sometimes in the evening, drinking water is being distributed in just 10-15 minutes. Due to lack of time, people are often deprived of getting water. Health Inspector Dharmendra Upadhyay said that the distribution of drinking water could not be done due to fault in 33 KV power line at Mordi center located in Chambal river. Under the Chambal Jal Aravadhan Yojana, the intake well of Chambal river in Mordi, there is some technical fault, electricity problem and breakage in the drinking water line every day. Former councilor Rais Abbasi said that there have been many irregularities in the Chambal water augmentation scheme. The materials and pipes laid in Chambal Water Augmentation are of very low standard. We protested a lot but the ruling party did not let it go.
