Sambhal Samajwadi Party MP Shafiqur Rahman Burke has once given a controversial statement. The SP MP appealed to Muslims not to go where Hindus are playing Holi, citing not to spoil the atmosphere on Shab-e-Barat and Holi. Shafiqur Rahman said that Muslims should not go among the people playing colors so that the atmosphere should not get spoiled.
The SP MP appealed to the Muslims to be careful. Actually, this time Holi, Juma Namaz and Shab-e-Barat fall on the same day. Due to this, an advisory was issued two days ago by Khalid Rashid Farangi Mahli Imam Idgah, chairman of the Islamic Center of India. In this, with an appeal to take care of each other’s religious sentiments and maintain peace and order, an appeal has been made to extend the Friday prayers by 30 minutes from those mosques where the prayers are held between 12:30 am and 1 pm.
Shafiqur Rahman also appealed to the people in his own way to celebrate the festival of Shab-e-Barat and Holi amicably, but while doing so, he said that during the color, people of Muslim society should refrain from going to the areas where Holi is being played. The MP said that this could worsen the atmosphere. He also appealed to the people to cooperate with the police and administration in maintaining mutual brotherhood and maintaining peace and order. He appealed to the police and the administration to maintain vigil during the festival in the city so that no anti-social element becomes active.
