Delhi Police sent notice to MCD

Meanwhile, continuing the investigation, the Delhi Police has written to the MCD seeking information about the steps taken for cleaning. “A notice has been sent to the MCD seeking information in the investigation of the case registered in connection with the death of three students at a coaching centre in Old Rajendra Nagar on July 27,” the Delhi Police said in a press release.

The police have also asked if any complaint was lodged with the civic agency against the coaching institute and what action was taken in response to it. “We may question MCD officials about the cleaning of drains and the approval certificate issued by them to Rau’s IAS Study Circle, where three students died after water got into the basement being used as a library,” a senior police officer said.
