IMD said that today on April 6 and tomorrow on April 7, heat well alert has been issued in Odisha, Gangetic region of West Bengal, Jharkhand, Vidarbha, North Interior Karnataka, Coastal Andhra Pradesh and isolated areas of Yanam, Rayalaseema and Telangana. , while there is a possibility of “heavy rain” in parts of Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Kerala, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Tripura, Arunachal Pradesh, Odisha and Gangetic West Bengal.
The scorching heat has hit many states of North India including Delhi-NCR, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar in the first week of April itself. The scorching heat during the day in these states has made life difficult for the people. In many states the temperature has crossed 35 degrees.
How will the weather be in UP-Bihar and Delhi?
The temperature is likely to be around 30 degrees in most parts of UP and Bihar, there is no chance of rain in these states. In some districts of Bihar the temperature may also go up to around 40 degrees. A heatwave alert has been issued here. At the same time, the weather is going to be clear in Delhi-NCR. Here on Saturday, April 7, the daytime temperature can be recorded at 36 degrees, while the minimum temperature is expected to be 19 degrees. There is a possibility of clear sky during the day and there will be strong sunshine during the day.

The weather department further said that heat wave conditions are already prevailing in isolated parts of North Interior Karnataka, Rayalaseema, Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam. “Scattered to widespread light and moderate rainfall over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim during the next seven days. Snowfall with thunderstorm and lightning is also likely,” the IMD said.
The central government on Wednesday asked states and union territories to make plans to mitigate the impact of heat wave. Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya gave the instructions after reviewing public health preparedness to manage the heat-related illness. Especially during the Lok Sabha elections, comprehensive measures should be taken to avoid extreme heat so that people do not face any problem. He said, “Widespread awareness will have to be created among the people from time to time on measures to avoid heat, which will go a long way in reducing the serious impact of strong heat waves.”
