Tata Nexon
The first car on our list is the Tata Nexon. Giving an ARAI mileage of 21.5 kmpl, this SUV has a 5 star rating in crash tests. Prices of the Nexon currently start at Rs 7.09 lakh, and will be offered with two engine options, a 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol (120PS/170Nm) and a 1.5-litre turbocharged diesel (110PS/260Nm). Both the engines are mated to a standard 6-speed MT or an optional 6-speed AMT.
Tata Altroz
Another 5 star rating car by Tata is Altroz. The premium hatchback has been priced between Rs 5.99 lakh and Rs 9.69 lakh (ex-showroom, pan-India). The Altroz is offered with three engine options: 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol (86PS/113Nm), 1.2-litre turbo-petrol (110PS/140Nm), and 1.5-litre diesel (90PS/200Nm). The Altroz is only offered with a manual transmission option, though the company may soon add a DCT (dual-clutch automatic) option on the car.

Mahindra Xuv300
The third car on this list is the Mahindra XUV300. The sub-4m SUV has been priced between Rs 7.95 lakh and Rs 13.46 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). As an engine, it has been given a choice of 1.2-litre turbo-petrol (110PS/200Nm) and 1.5-litre diesel engine (117PS/300Nm).
