Talking about the sales of petrol scooters in the Indian market, companies like Honda, TVS and Suzuki have performed well. Yamaha has also made its presence felt. Let’s take a look at the best selling in the Indian market in November 2021.
If Honda Activa is called the most popular scooter in the country, then it will not be wrong. For a long time, this scooter of Honda has maintained its dominance in the market. Talking about November 2021, Activa stood at number one with sales of 1,24,082 units. This includes both 125 and 6G variants. However, if compared to last year, the company sold 2,25,822 units of Activa in November 2020. In such a situation, the company has sold less than 1,01,740 units in November this year as compared to last year, due to which the company has seen a decrease of 45.05% in Activa sales on year to year basis. Talking about the market share, Activa holds 43.27% of the total market share of the petrol scooter segment.
TVS Jupiter
TVS Jupiter stood second in November 2021 with sales of 44,139 units. However, if compared to last year, the company sold 62,626 units of Jupiter in November 2020. In such a situation, the company has sold less than 18,487 units in November this year as compared to last year, due to which the company has seen a decrease of 29.52% in the sales of Jupiter on year to year basis. Talking about the market share, Jupiter holds 15.39% of the total market share of the petrol scooter segment.
Suzuki Access
Suzuki Access stood at number three with sales of 42,481 units in November 2021. However, if compared to last year, the company sold 45,582 units of Access in November 2020. As such, the company has sold 3,101 units less in November this year as compared to November last year, resulting in a decline of 6.8% in the sales of Access on a year-to-year basis. Coming to the market share, Access holds 14.81% of the total market share of the petrol scooter segment.
TVS Ntorq
TVS Ntorq stood at number four with sales of 19,157 units in November 2021. However, if compared with last year, the company sold 28,987 units of Ntorq in November 2020. In such a situation, the company has sold less than 9,830 units in November this year as compared to last year, due to which the company has seen a decrease of 33.91% in the sales of Ntorq on year to year basis. Talking about the market share, Ntorq has 6.68% of the total market share of the petrol scooter segment.
Yamaha RayZR
Yamaha RAZR stood at number five with sales of 12,344 units in November 2021. However, if compared with the previous year, the company sold 15,238 units of the RAZR in November 2020. In such a situation, the company has sold less than 2,894 units in November this year as compared to last year, due to which the company has seen a decrease of 18.99% in the sales of RAZR on year to year basis. Talking about the market share, RZR holds 4.3% of the total market share of the petrol scooter segment.
