Owing to the growing popularity of the electric vehicle segment, Taiwan-based two-wheeler maker Kymco has introduced a new version of its electric scooter Like 125. The new scooter is the electric version of Kymco’s LIKE 125 regular scooter, which is quite popular in Europe and some Asian markets. Let us tell you, the most special feature of this scooter is the five swappable battery packs available in it,
The scooter can store not one or two but the entire 5 battery packs, which together are capable of delivering a range of 199 km. Each battery in Like 125 is rated 50V13Ah, and each weighs 6kg, let’s say, the two batteries used in the scooter power the scooter at a time. Like 125 EV is also an attractive scooter in appearance. It gets a modern-retro design like the Vespa model with flush-fitted and sleek body panels.
Will be launched in India with many special features
As features Kimco has also equipped the glove box with useful features like a USB charging port, reverse mode and a Bluetooth-enabled digital dash that pairs with the rider’s smartphone for notifications, weather alerts and turn-by-turn navigation . Apart from this, the entire lighting setup is LED. Talking about the Indian launch, the Kymco Like 125 EV is unlikely to be launched in India anytime soon. Which can create trouble in the segment for scooters like Bajaj Chetak and TVS iQube.

The Like 125 EV can connect to your smartphone through the app to get information like battery level and speed. Talking about the charging technology of the scooter, Ionex is Kymo’s proprietary battery technology, which can be charged in less than an hour.
