MG ZS Electric SUV Facelift: The demand for electric vehicles is increasing rapidly in the Indian market, most of the people are showing their interest in electric vehicles. At the same time, automakers are also engaged in updating their electric vehicle lineup with the introduction of new models in the market. Now Morris Garages (MG Motor) is also going to introduce a new facelift model of its famous electric SUV MG ZS, according to the information, this SUV will be offered for sale on 7th March.
Bookings for this SUV have already been started at the company’s authorized dealerships across the country, and it is being produced at its plant in Halol, Gujarat. The company is making some drastic changes in the exterior and interior of the new SUV, so that it will give better performance and driving range than the current model.
Talking about changes in the exterior, it will get sleeker headlamps, restyled fake front grille, updated bumpers (front and rear), new design tail lights. At the same time, the 17-inch alloy wheel given in it will give it a more special sporty design. Overall, these cosmetic changes to its exterior make it different from the current SUV.
The interiors will see some changes; The cabin of the 2022 MG ZS EV will have a similar design to the Astor (which is essentially a petrol-powered version of the ZS) but will be offered with a different color theme. As for the infotainment system, it will get a larger 10.1-inch touchscreen while the analog-part-digital instrument console will be replaced with a 7-inch digital instrument panel.

Other features on the MG ZS electric SUV will include a panoramic sunroof, rain-sensing wipers, power-adjustable driver seat, automatic climate control, rear AC vents, cabin air filter, multiple USB charging ports, smartphone connectivity (Android Auto and Apple). Apart from this, connected car technology will also be introduced on the new ZS EV.
The biggest change will be in the powertrain:
The biggest change in the new facelift SUV will be seen in its powertrain, in which the company will use a larger 51 kWh capacity battery pack instead of the existing 44.5 kWh battery pack. Due to the large battery pack, the driving range of this SUV will be even better than before. It is believed that this SUV, which currently offers a driving range of up to 419 km, will travel up to 480 km on a single charge. However, the official announcement regarding its power-torque etc. is yet to be made.
After the new battery back and updates, its price may increase, although it will be revealed only at the time of launch. The current model is priced between Rs 21.49 lakh to Rs 25.18 lakh. This electric SUV mainly competes with models like Hyundai Kona, Tata Nexon in the market.
