2022 Mahindra Scorpio: The country’s leading automaker Mahindra is in discussion these days about the second generation Scorpio, you are aware that this SUV of the company will be the next big launch. Which is expected to be launched in June 2022. Although its official launch date has not been announced yet. But the automaker has been testing the new Mahindra Scorpio for the past one year.
Two engines made for different power
Looking at the spy pictures that have surfaced so far, it is easy to say that the new Scorpio will see many significant changes in the exterior and interior. However, its biggest update will be a more powerful engine. It is reported that the new Scorpio will be equipped with 2.0 liter turbo petrol and 2.2 liter turbo diesel engines. Wherein its gasoline unit will offer two different power outputs – (130bhp for the lower variants and 160bhp for the higher variants) while the oil burner will be equipped with 155bhp of power.
The new Scorpio will be lighter than before
In terms of dimensions, the new 2022 Mahindra Scorpio will be bigger, lighter and safer than before. The new model will come with a bigger grille, twin-pod headlamps with LED DRLs, updated bumpers and new LED taillamps. This time the SUV will be made available with 6 and 7-seat configurations. Interestingly, the third row seats will be facing forward instead of a side facing jump unit.

One of the biggest updates inside the cabin will be a larger touchscreen infotainment system with smartphone connectivity. Along with this, the new Scorpio could also be packed with a head-up display (HUD), 360-degree camera and a digital analog instrument cluster.

Factory fitted sunroof will be available for the first time
According to the information, for the first time, a factory fitted sunroof will be given in Mahindra Scorpio. Also similar to the XUV700, the second generation Scorpio will get a flat-bottom steering with vehicle telematics, electrically adjustable front seats, roof-mounted speakers, a reverse camera, rear disc brake and multiple airbags. Talking about the price, the new Scorpio will be 10 to 50 thousand rupees more expensive than the current model.
