Can qualify from ICC T20 Rankings
In the current ICC T20 rankings, the New Zealand team is at number six. On the other hand, the Pakistani team is at number seven. There is no team in the top-10 of the ICC T20 rankings that can spoil their game and these teams are expected to remain in the top-10 till June 30. In such a situation, the teams of Pakistan and New Zealand can qualify for the T20 World Cup 2026 on the basis of ranking.
Pakistan and New Zealand teams are out of the Super-8 race
In the current T20 World Cup 2024, the Pakistani team has played three matches so far, out of which the team has lost two. The Pakistani team had to face defeat in the super over against America in its opening match. After this, the Indian team defeated it by 6 runs. The Pakistani team could not recover from these two defeats.
On the other hand, New Zealand lost their first match against Afghanistan by 84 runs. In the second match, West Indies defeated them by 13 runs. The team did make a comeback by winning the match against Uganda, but by then it was too late. The Kiwi team suffered a heavy defeat against the Afghan team and they were out of the Super-8 race in the T20 World Cup 2024.
