Maoists killed a youth and threw his body on the road late on Saturday night in Koilibeda area of Kanker district of Chhattisgarh. The Maoists have also left a pamphlet over the dead body. In this, he accused the deceased of collecting information for the police and said that he should be punished. The Maoists have warned other villagers in the letter that no one should become an informer by being lured by the money given by the police or else he too will be given death sentence.

Regarding the incident, Kanker SP Shalabh Sinha said that seeing the condition of the dead body, it seems that after killing him at some other place, the dead body has been brought to the spot and thrown. The place where the body was recovered is of Markanar village under Koilibeda police station area. The body was probably brought there late on Saturday night, which was reported to the police in the morning. The body has been taken over by BSF and district forces.
