Arun Kumar Singh, spokesperson of Home Science of SBVP Inter College, Rae Bareli, says that Marua plant is a plant of mint and basil species which is beneficial for children. But it acts as an enemy for insects and mosquitoes. Its fragrance is such that mosquitoes as well as other insects do not wander far and wide.
Removes cough and bad breath
While talking to Local 18, Arun Kumar Singh says that now a question must be arising in your mind that when its smell is such that mosquitoes run away, then how can it be beneficial for children. But it contains many such anti-accident properties as well as nutrients which are very beneficial for our health. Boiling Marua leaves in tea provides relief from diseases like cold, cough etc. It is also effective in removing bad odor. Besides, it is also considered effective in providing relief from gum diseases. It also improves digestion. Apart from this, it removes stomach worms and also provides relief from migraine pain.
Avoid eating too much
Arun Kumar Singh tells that apart from growing it in your kitchen garden or in a pot, you can also consume its leaves by adding them to chutney, salad, vegetables. But keep in mind that consume it only in appropriate quantity, otherwise it can spoil your taste.
