Mainly people consume watermelon. Watermelon contains plenty of water as well as antioxidant properties, which are very effective in keeping our body healthy. Watermelon is juicy, due to which our body remains hydrated and healthy.
Dr. Smita Srivastava (BAMS Ayurveda), Medical Officer in-charge of Shivgarh’s AYUSH Hospital, Rae Bareli, says that consumption of watermelon in the summer season is very beneficial for our health. Nutrients that keep the body hydrated are found in abundance in it. Apart from being juicy, water is also found in abundance in it, which is very beneficial for our body.
Watermelon is rich in many nutrients
Ayush medical officer says that up to 90 percent water is found in watermelon. Apart from this, fiber, potassium, calcium, vitamin A, vitamin C as well as an amino acid called cidreline are found in abundance in it. Consuming it daily during summer season cures many diseases. It is very effective in reducing stomach ache, dehydration, blood pressure, dry mouth, dizziness and weight.
Watermelon is very beneficial for health
Talking to Local 18, AYUSH Medical Officer Dr. Smita Srivastava tells that during the summer season, we should consume watermelon daily. This keeps our body hydrated. It also protects our body from viral infections occurring in summer. At least 250 to 500 grams of watermelon must be consumed daily.
