Mumbai: Many leaders like Ashok Chavan, Milind Deora, Baba Siddiqui were leaving Congress one by one. Now the question is being asked that what is Nana Patole doing? Is Nana responsible for factionalism within Congress? Can’t Nana handle Congress? Doesn’t Nana have any communication with the leaders? Is Nana Patole a villain for Congress?
Former Chief Minister of Maharashtra and senior Congress leader in Maharashtra Ashok Chavan has taken refuge in BJP. The question being asked is whether State President Nana Patole was not aware of this till the resignation of Ashok Chavan? There have been reports of Ashok Chavan’s displeasure since last one year, so was there no conversation with him? Or is there any truth in the allegation that Ashok Chavan defected to BJP due to various scams?
In fact, ever since Maharashtra Congress came into the hands of Nana Patole, Chavan was angry towards him. Nana, who joined Congress from BJP, was handed over the command of the party. At the same time, Ashok Chavan, who was elected in the Modi wave, was ignored. After this Chavan was worried. After Balasaheb Thorat, many people did not like the decision to make Nana Patole the state president by bypassing senior leaders.
State Congress President on target
Nana Patole is known as an aggressive leader. The allegation is that he attacks BJP but also speaks against Congress leaders. In Maharashtra, Nana Patole vs Nitin Raut, Nana Patole vs Vijay Vaddetti disputes were seen.
Allegations were made that Nana was putting his own leaders in trouble. It is also alleged that many of Patole’s decisions are going against the Congress. An example of this is the Nashik graduate election. The idea of making Satyajit Tambe and his father candidates came before Nana and Congress. Satyajit Tambe was elected with the support of BJP. After that election the dispute between Nana and Balasaheb Thorat reached its peak. At the same time, Ashish Deshmukh had written a letter directly to the high command and complained about Patole.
He alleged that Congress is becoming weak in Vidarbha due to various factions. He directly demanded the removal of Nana. There was discussion of displeasure with Nana not only in Congress but also in Mahavikas Aghadi and this discussion started due to Nana’s resignation from the post of Assembly Speaker. Leaders of Mahavikas Aghadi still say that his decision was responsible for the fall of their government. If Nana had remained the Assembly Speaker, it would not have been easy for BJP and Shinde to form the government. Even today, leaders openly express their displeasure over that decision of Nana Patole.
Overall, it is being alleged that various parties are responsible for the discord in Congress. Nana Patole is being made a villain. On the other hand, Congress alleges that Ashok Chavan has left the party under pressure due to fear of investigation.
Raut and senior Pawar
Shiv Sena, NCP and now Congress have broken up. In every situation someone or the other was declared the villain. Sanjay Raut was declared a villain during Shiv Sena’s time. The allegation was that Sanjay Raut was deciding between Uddhav Thackeray and the leaders. Many people were also not liking the closeness of Raut and Sharad Pawar.
Ajit Pawar called Sharad Pawar a villain. Ajit Pawar was angry with Supriya Sule instead of giving him the command of NCP. He had alleged that even after spending so many years for NCP, he was not Sharad Pawar’s son and hence injustice was done to him. Three villains were identified for the three major political divisions in the state. Sanjay Raut and Sharad Pawar have returned to work.
