One of the main reasons for the huge increase in the prices of crude oil in the international market
According to an estimate, there may be another hit of inflation on the middle class from tomorrow. With the assembly elections in five states including Uttar Pradesh ending tomorrow, the burden of increasing the prices of petrol and diesel is also looming.
According to the information, the prices of petrol and diesel are likely to increase from Rs 12 to Rs 15 in a phased manner from Tuesday. At present, the price of petrol in Ahmedabad is 95.20 per liter while the price of diesel is 89.12 per liter. However, the price of petrol and diesel is likely to increase gradually, not all at once. According to sources in the Federation of Gujarat Petroleum Dealers Association, the prices of petrol and diesel may increase in phases from Tuesday. After that it is likely to increase from 75 paise per day in phases. Petrol and diesel prices have remained relatively stable for the last five months after the assembly elections in five states.
However, according to experts, after the war between Russia and Ukraine, the price of crude oil in the international market has reached above $ 110. This is the highest price of crude oil in the international market since 2012. Russia is currently the third largest supplier of crude oil to the world. Last year, 43,400 barrels of oil was supplied to India from Russia per day.
Petrol price in Ahmedabad last crossed Rs 100 in November. On November 1 last year, the price of petrol reached a high of 106.30 per liter. After this, the price of petrol remains below Rs 100. The price of diesel had gone up to 106.10 on November 1 last year. Since then it has been declining. However, now its price is likely to increase.
