New Delhi. The first total solar eclipse of the year is going to occur on Monday. This will be the longest solar eclipse after 54 years. Before this, a very long solar eclipse had occurred in the year 1970. This time the solar eclipse will last for 5 hours 25 minutes. According to Indian time on Monday night, the total solar eclipse will start from 9.12 pm. Obviously this is not going to be visible in India. The solar eclipse will end at 2:22 pm according to Indian time.
The solar eclipse that is going to occur on Monday will be visible from North America, Mexico, northern parts of South America, the Arctic, Western Europe, Ireland, islands located in the Atlantic Ocean, a part of Canada and some areas of the Pacific Ocean. During this period there will be complete darkness for about 7 minutes. When the Sun is completely hidden, all the planets will also be visible in the sky. The solar eclipse may be visible in some parts of the world, but people living anywhere will be able to watch it through live streaming of America’s space agency NASA. NASA has made arrangements for this on its website nasa.gov. During this time the diamond ring effect will also be visible.
A solar eclipse occurs when the Moon comes between the Sun and the Earth. The distance from the Moon to the Sun is considerable. At the same time, the moon is close to the earth. Because of this the Moon completely covers the Sun. Eclipses occur every year, but no eclipse is visible all over the world simultaneously. This time the solar eclipse is also going to be visible only in some parts of the world. If we talk about the religious aspect, then the solar eclipse which is going to happen on Monday is not going to be visible in India. In such a situation, Sutak will not be valid here.
