Bhilai. Initiated this training program by training 15 participants from 5 departments in Electrician trade. There is a plan to impart training to 55 personnel in the month of March, in which personnel of two trades i.e. welder and electrician trade can participate.
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is a skill certification component that is helping Indian youth secure a better livelihood by enabling them to acquire industry-related skill certifications.
Individuals with prior learning experience or skills can register themselves and get assessed and certified under the RPL component of Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY). It will have an orientation period of 12 hours. This includes four hours of domain specific training, four hours of training on soft skills and entrepreneurship, four hours of training on safety precautions, roles and responsibilities. In addition, four hours will be required for its evaluation process, tests and methods of evaluation.
Thus the entire training will be completed in 16 hours. It is proposed to train more than 1000 contract workers. Under this scheme, the contractual employees will be certified through CSVTU. The trades for this training will be Electrician, Welder, Fitter and Crane Operation.
As a part of Skill Recognition Program (RPL) in association with CSVTU, BSP initiated this training program by training 15 participants from five departments in Electrician trade. DGM (HRD) Mukul Sahariya welcomed the chief guest CGM (COCCD) G Adhuta Rao. Rao appreciated this RPL training. G Adhuta Rao appreciated this initiative taken by CSR and HRD in association with CSVTU. He stressed on the need of RPL training as the number of contract workers is increasing. DGM Mukul Sahariya briefly presented the details of RPL training scheme conducted through CSVTU. Shalini Madam of CSVTU also gave necessary information. The operation was done by Senior Manager Subhash Patel and Coordinating Manager Anita Sreekumar.
