Superbike motorcycle manufacturer Triumph India has today launched the new Rocket 3 221 Special Edition in India. Equipped with very attractive styling and powerful power, the price of this bike has been fixed at 20.80 lakh (ex-showroom, India). Let us tell you, this new bike has been introduced in two trims – R and GT. While the ‘R’ trim has been priced at Rs 20.80 lakh (ex-showroom), the latter-spec ‘GT’ has been priced at Rs 21.40 lakh (ex-showroom).
Bike with highest torque
The fuel tank of the motorcycle gets special ‘221’ decals, which reminds of 221Nm of torque. The thing to note here is that the torque available in this bike is currently the highest torque of any production version bike in the world. As for the engine, the bike is powered by a 2,500cc 3-cylinder engine that makes a maximum power of 165bhp at 6,000rpm, and is mated to a 6-speed gearbox and torque-assist hydraulic clutch.
Updates received in the design
In terms of design, the new Triumph Rocket 3 221 Special Edition model gets attractive decals as well as red hopper base paint with sapphire black color for the flyscreen, side panels, rear section, radiator cowls and headlamp cowls. Red hopper tank and sapphire black mudguard brackets, headlight bowls, flyscreen, side panels, rear bodywork and radiator cowls complement the looks of the bike.
Features and Braking
The company has used lightweight, cast aluminum in the bike, given a hard 20-spoke design for the wheels. Triumph claims that these tires have been specially designed for the Rocket 3 to provide exceptional grip and high mileage durability. In terms of braking, the Brembo M4.32 four-piston monoblock caliper and 300mm Disc have been given on the motorcycle. Also included with the new Rocket is the My Triumph Connectivity System software, which can be used with an accessory-fitted Bluetooth module
