Uddhav Thackeray on support to Modi government: Uddhav Thackeray laid down a condition for supporting the Modi government, know what the former Maharashtra CM wants, Shiv Sena UBT chief Uddhav Thackeray says if Modi government makes a law to increase quota then he will support

Mumbai. Uddhav Thackeray, the president of the second faction of Shiv Sena, has said that he will support the Modi government on one condition. You will be surprised to know this. Uddhav Thackeray is currently a part of the opposition alliance, but he says that if the Modi government brings a law to increase the scope of reservation beyond 50 percent, then the MPs of his faction will support this law. This statement of Uddhav Thackeray has come after the Patna High Court’s stay on increasing the reservation from 50 to 65 percent in Bihar and the Supreme Court’s refusal to stay it.

Uddhav Thackeray told news agency PTI that the state government does not have the right to increase the 50 percent reservation limit. Uddhav Thackeray said that the central government can increase the reservation limit through Parliament. He said that PM Narendra Modi should take a decision to resolve the reservation issue. Uddhav Thackeray said that we will also accept the decision. Regarding the Patna High Court’s stay on the increased reservation in Bihar, Uddhav Thackeray said that the parties in power should clarify whether they want to harm the interests of OBCs?

Let us tell you that when Nitish Kumar was running the government in Bihar with Congress and RJD, he had conducted a caste survey. After the report of this survey came, Nitish Kumar passed a law to increase the reservation limit in Bihar from 50 to 65 percent. When a petition came against this in Patna High Court, the court put a stay on the increased reservation. Nitish Kumar’s government appealed against this in the Supreme Court, but the Supreme Court also refused to stay the order of Patna High Court. After this, Nitish Kumar’s JDU spokesperson KC Tyagi had demanded that the law to increase reservation passed by the Bihar Assembly should be included in the Ninth Schedule of the Constitution. So that the court cannot review that law. However, he had termed the reports of any pressure being put on the Modi government in this matter as false. Now it is clear from Uddhav Thackeray’s statement that along with the allies, the opposition has also started putting pressure in the matter of increasing the reservation limit. Rahul Gandhi is also continuously demanding a caste census. In such a scenario, if the Modi government does not take any action on the issue of increasing reservation, then the strategy adopted by the opposition to portray the BJP as anti-Dalit and anti-backward can cause more damage.
