According to the tweet of M. Jagadesh Kumar, National Testing Agency and UGC, based on the feedback received from the candidates appearing in the examination, postponed the date of examination by two days from June 16 to June 18. The National Testing Agency will conduct the UGC-NET exam in OMR mode on a single day across the country. It is noteworthy that UPSC pre-examination is also to be held on June 16 only. In such a situation, there are many such students who have applied for both UGC NET and UPSC Pre. Now since both the exams were being held on the same day, the students would have to skip one of the two exams. That is why, keeping in mind the future of the students, the National Testing Agency changed the schedule of UGC NET exam and extended the date by two days.
Now all those candidates who have applied for UGC NET and UPSC Pre will be able to easily appear in both the examinations. Let us tell you that the application process for UGC NET exam has started from April 20 and is currently going on. The last date to apply is 10th May. Applicants can deposit the examination fee till May 11. Students to qualify for UGC are required to secure 75 percent marks in graduation.
