The foreign secretary was asked whether there would be any change in India’s position on the Ukraine crisis after an Indian student was killed in a shooting in the eastern Ukrainian city of Kharkiv on Tuesday. Significantly, last week, India did not participate in the vote on a resolution in the UN Security Council, which sought to condemn Russia’s attack on Ukraine. India also told the UN Security Council that it is in touch with all concerned and urged them to return to the negotiating table.
